National Centre for Music seeks an Events Officer

Our colleagues at the National Centre for Music (NCM) are now recruiting for an Events Officer.

The Events Officer will be responsible for delivering public engagement events within our National Lottery Heritage Fund funded project, which has an emphasis on engaging diverse audiences with the site and its development, particularly those who may often face barriers to engaging with cultural organisations like ours. The initial focus of the role will be on events responding to community interests and needs around the heritage of the building, the landscaped gardens, and related cultural heritage topics. It is anticipated that many, but by no means all events will be musical in output.

The Events Officer’s role is to deliver engaging and accessible events that engage local communities as well as national and international visitors with the heritage – architectural, musical, cultural, horticultural, and social. You will coordinate the logistics, planning and delivery of a wide range of event types – from festivals, to building tours, to talks, to artistic commissions and performances. The role will require good project management skills, excellent communication and a strong commitment to inclusive practices. The Events Officer will also play a critical role in documenting and evaluating these early events and projects, to support long-term planning and partnerships.

For full details of the job role and how to apply, see the recruitment pack.

The closing date is Wednesday 18 November.
